Responsibilities
Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs and correspondence.
Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs and motions.
Determine strategies and solutions for cases, in order to satisfy customer needs after an analysis.
Supervise paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff.
Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings.
Requirements
A solid understanding of legal research programs, such as Fastcase, Westlaw, and Lexis products, is required.
Efficient time management.
Critical thinking.
Ability to multitask.
Skills in negotiation, debate and persuasion techniques.
Mastery of civil procedure and discovery.
Roles and Responsibilities of a Family Law Attorney
Providing representation to clients in court in cases related to immigration and family law.
Maintain a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.
Attending trials and court proceedings.
To supervise and manage legal problems that arise between members of the same family.
Interact routinely with social workers, supervisors, program directors, and program administrators.
Supervise and lead mediation sessions, offering effective legal advice.
Organize and register all official documents required to present cases.
Keep customers regularly informed about the status of their cases.

Additional Requirements
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required.
Law degree with a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) and experience representing clients for at least 2 years.
Previous experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years is required.
Candidates must be members of their local bar association (active membership is preferred).
Skills required include decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary or Compensation
$90,000 - $110,000
